Where Innovation Meets Architecture

Mythral Storm Architecture Office

Who We Really Are

It's not just about drawing pretty buildings - though we do that too.

Started back in 2012, we kicked things off in a cramped office above a coffee shop on Granville Street. Yeah, we've come a long way since then. What began as three restless architects sketching ideas on napkins has grown into a full-blown studio that's tackled everything from boutique residential projects to sprawling commercial complexes across BC.

Here's the thing - we don't buy into that whole 'form follows function' dogma like it's gospel. Real spaces need both. They gotta work smoothly but also make you feel something when you walk through 'em. We've spent years figuring out how to balance cutting-edge design with actual livability, and honestly? That's where the magic happens.

Our team's a mix of folks who've worked everywhere from Toronto high-rises to sustainable builds in Scandinavia. Everyone brings their own flavor to projects, which keeps things fresh and stops us from churning out cookie-cutter designs.

The Journey So Far

From sketches to skylines - here's how we got here.

2012 - The Beginning

Three architects, one vision, and way too much coffee. We launched Mythral Storm in a tiny office, hungry to do things differently. Our first project? A residential renovation that taught us more than any textbook ever could.

Early Studio Days

2015 - First Major Break

Landed a commercial project that put us on the map. A mixed-use development in Gastown that blended heritage preservation with modern needs. It was intense, stressful, and absolutely worth it. Suddenly people were taking us seriously.

First Major Project

2018 - Sustainable Shift

Got serious about sustainable design. Not just slapping solar panels on roofs, but really thinking through energy efficiency, materials, and long-term impact. Added our green building certification program and haven't looked back.

Sustainable Architecture

2021 - Expansion & Recognition

Moved into our current West Hastings office - finally got the space we needed. Won our first national design award and started working on projects outside Vancouver. The team doubled and our portfolio got seriously diverse.

Award Recognition

2025 - Present Day

Still pushing boundaries, still learning. We're tackling urban development challenges, restoring heritage buildings, and designing spaces that people actually want to live and work in. The journey continues.
